BALANCING HORMONES IN 3 EASY STEPS BY DANIELE DELLA-VALLE

 In Nutrition

Every woman on the planet is different in terms of genetic makeup/predisposition, allergies/sensitivities, and most of all life structure. Some women are so lucky that they have been given the proper tools needed in order to maintain healthy hormone production. For the rest of us it doesn’t come that easy, until now. In three easy steps to balance your hormones you will learn how to manage them in your busy day to day and the benefits for a long healthy life.

Step #1: Balance

Women with heavy/irregular periods or just women who hate periods and have decided to avoid them are completely out of balance (unless you have a rare disease like hemophilia or von willebrands disease). Menstruation should always be a welcomed gift. I know this sounds ridiculous, but it’s true. When a woman sheds her uterine lining the body sets off a “all clear signal” of non-fetal attachment and a complete detoxification process. When we bleed we detox, we get rid of any cells that can become harmful or toxic to the body. So making a healthy period should be every women’s primary focus.

Making your period your focus and “Balancing” starts by having a calendar. I like “Pink Pad” its an app that tracks my crimson sister and even lets me add emoji’s to talk about how shitty my day might be.

Once you track you know what to expect, and that my girlfriends is where the magic happens. When you know what to expect then you can become a full on Doomsday prepper. Prepping will allow you to avoid the bloody murder Carrie like alter ego called PMS. Yes that’s right you can actually avoid PMS all together. How you ask? With these few ingredients:

Raw cacao powder

Coconut butter

100% Grass fed beef

Spinach

Tumeric

Holy Basil

Lemon Balm

Brazil Nuts

Raw un-peeled carrots

These prepping materials are packed full of mineral rich, adrenal supporting,  alkalizing, and excess estrogen removing nutrients. Those words may not mean anything to you but the body needs to rebuild, needs to refuel. These few ingredients will give everything a “detoxing” woman needs.

Step #2: Decrease inflammation

Inflammation is a tricky business. It can rear its ugly head in so many forms. I like to use the “Snowball” analogy. Imagine a rock on a snowy mountain top, this is an allergy or sensitivity. The rock then catapults as the body is inundated with inflammation. As the rock picks up momentum it starts to get bigger and bigger. This mass represents the rising heat of inflammation in the body. As the snowball generates into this weapon of mass destruction is approaches a village below thus eliminating anything that gets in its way. This destruction translates as a diseased state in the body like, painful periods, fibromyalgia, constipation, plantar fasciitis, yadda yadda yadda, the list goes on.

The ultimate way to decreasing inflammation is to eliminate natural irritants. This applies to everyone.

Remove:

Gluten

Pasteurized Dairy

Night Shades (tomato, eggplant, potato, pepper)

Processed sugar

Soy

Step #3: Eat Clean

If you think you have a pretty clear idea of what eating clean is, let’s take it a step further. Clean to me is not just home made foods with minimal ingredients. Clean to me is, “What type of environment did my food grow in?” “Is the animal I am eating grass-fed/pasture raised or has it been confined and grain fed?.” These are truly elemental questions to ask yourself because why the heck would you want to eat an animal that has diabetes? You are already working so hard to eat healthy, why make it that much harder?

Organic and GMO-Free are not gimicks, they are what true natural foods are. This isn’t some hokey, hardcore, rich girl only diet. Re-prioritize your life now and spend a few more bucks on your food so you don’t spend thousands on your cancer treatments later. Yeah I said it, Cancer.

Facts about hormones:

Did you know that estrogen dominance is the path to chemotherapy and radiation?! That’s right people, Cancer!! If you don’t know what estrogen dominance is, it’s a hormonal imbalance in the body. If you are overweight you definitely have a hormonal imbalance. If your period is irregular you absolutely have a hormonal imbalance. If you have difficulty sleeping you have a hormonal imbalance. See where I’m going with this. Your poor body and all of that stress. What I am saying here ladies is that every one wants to be so damn polite that no ones really says, “Hey, that problem you have, it’s not normal!” Start paying attention to your body and don’t take no for an answer, and honestly start questioning your Doctor. Taking a pill for everything is freaking ridiculous, and making everyone sicker. Get your hormones tested, and let’s start balancing them!
